In my bubble
During my first two semesters of college, it came to my attention that many of my friends have some form of creative outlet that they share with others. Some sing, some compose, some write movies. I, however, am an exception. Although I am majoring in music education, I cannot express myself through music. Instead, I pour my soul into a tiny book that houses a myriad of strategically chosen words. While I dare not call myself a poet, I will admit that writing poetry is my release.
A haphazard portrait
Perhaps a small introduction will allow you to better understand my poetry. I am currently attending Susquehanna University as a music education major. As such, the number of classes and commitments I have in my daily schedule outnumber those of a "normal" college student's. As I mentioned, I do not consider myself literate enough in music to fully express myself. I find this immensely frustrating, especially considering the fact that I am an extremely emotional individual. As a result, I often scribble words into my diary. More accurately, I wait until I am about to have an emotional breakdown before I pour my being onto paper. Viewing images created by letters and spaces seems to soothe my often troubled mind.
I hope that you can appreciate the little snippets presented on this website and maybe even gain a deeper understanding of my personality. Please take into account that this is my first attempt at creating a website before you judge me. Like my being, this site is a work in progress.
Current happenings
I am currently in the process of moving to Muses. I will be posting snippets of Aurora, my lastest poetry/journal project. Thank you, Nick Roseth, for offering to host me.
